The Bow Spread, developed by Mark and John, is easily the most intuitive spread I have ever used, particularly the way Mark describes the String, Fletching, and Arrowhead portions as the dynamic driver of the issue at hand. Truly a remarkable work, showing these two men have a depth of wisdom seldom experienced in the world today.

Thank you, guys.Susan Harpernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-80054289555406473522012-08-10T07:04:15.819-07:002012-08-10T07:04:15.819-07:00I wonder if people are getting Chesca Potter mixed...I wonder if people are getting Chesca Potter mixed up with Jessica Galbreath, the fantasy artist who is definitely and verifiably now an evangelical Christian.Silversealenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-5897102434589848582012-07-21T13:20:03.332-07:002012-07-21T13:20:03.332-07:00Lovely sword, close to the Albion made by bladesmi...Lovely sword, close to the Albion made by bladesmith Joseph Dawes of White Well Arms in Derbyshire. We originally decided not to stay with the traditional format and elements of Tarot (as I hope I've explained both in the book and in various interviews) simply because it wasn't easily accessible to myself or Chesca. The nature based symbolism and "Wheel of the Year" concept, however was, so that's why we settled on it after Chesca and I saw that it had a very natural flow and fitted easily into the ancient seasonal cycle. I know that may have frustrated some traditional Tarot folks but it seems to work and speaks to many others. So to me it's a Tarot, as was Greenwood. (Both can also be used as a meditation tool). In fact, I'd go as far as to say it may be how the Tarot was originally conceived (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) at the very early stages of human beings mapping the seasons, the totem animals and the inner framework of the psyche. The Kabballah may be four thousand years old but stone-age art and shamanic practice dates back to the Neolithic Era.Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08094453626984994325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-60430960016954977442011-11-27T18:52:05.568-08:002011-11-27T18:52:05.568-08:00Left you a comment on this video, Mark:

Does it then become an oracle deck which is (of course) different from Tarot?

PS: I use the name LadyLeJean on Youtube.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-4063106492945933832011-07-22T17:31:37.712-07:002011-07-22T17:31:37.712-07:00Hi Mark,
I just came across the new Wildwood Taro...Hi Mark,

I just came across the new Wildwood Tarot on amazon (probably because I just bought one of Caitlin Matthew's books). The images I've seen online look amazing, well done on producing such a beautiful tarot. I would like to offer some feedback about the differences with the Greenwood though. The new deck seems very masculine in comparison. One of the things I love about the Greenwood is that there is a good balance of female and male imagery *or* gender neutral imagery. I haven't seen all the Wildwood images so perhaps the preview images are slanted towards the masculine and this isn't reflected in the actual deck. It would be shame though if it was. Not that any deck is beholden to any particular vision with regards to gender unless stated, but there is such an abundance of male imagery in the world that anything that can produce a good balance is much appreciated and valuable.

This isn't a criticism of the Wildwood so much as a gentle reminder that the balance sometimes needs nurturing.

best wises,
katekatenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-4576637108894936252011-07-03T08:51:04.990-07:002011-07-03T08:51:04.990-07:00Terrific picture of Bumblebee, Mark.
