We originally decided not to stay with the traditional format and elements of Tarot (as I hope I've explained both in the book and in various interviews) simply because it wasn't easily accessible to myself or Chesca. The nature based symbolism and "Wheel of the Year" concept, however was, so that's why we settled on it after Chesca and I saw that it had a very natural flow and fitted easily into the ancient seasonal cycle. I know that may have frustrated some traditional Tarot folks but it seems to work and speaks to many others. So to me it's a Tarot, as was Greenwood. (Both can also be used as a meditation tool). In fact, I'd go as far as to say it may be how the Tarot was originally conceived (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) at the very early stages of human beings mapping the seasons, the totem animals and the inner framework of the psyche. The Kabballah may be four thousand years old but stone-age art and shamanic practice dates back to the Neolithic Era.Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08094453626984994325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6207468010169665285.post-60430960016954977442011-11-27T18:52:05.568-08:002011-11-27T18:52:05.568-08:00Left you a comment on this video, Mark:

Does it then become an oracle deck which is (of course) different from Tarot?

PS: I use the name LadyLeJean on Youtube.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
